Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) (deduced: Māheśvarakhaṇḍa narration)
Tirtha: Kedāra (Kedāranātha)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A Himalayan pilgrimage setting near Kedāra: ascetics and pilgrims contrasted with worldly-minded figures entangled by personified guṇas; the vices (kāma, krodha, bhaya, dveṣa, mada, mātsarya) appear as shadowy attendants around them, while the shrine radiates calm.
Bondage arises from guṇa-driven attachment and the inner vices; liberation requires tattva-jñāna (knowledge of the Real).
Within Kedārakhaṇḍa, the Kedāra region is presented as a setting for teachings that cut the roots of guṇa-based bondage.
No explicit ritual is given; it diagnoses spiritual obstacles to be overcome through knowledge and discipline.
