त्रैगुणा भवसंपन्ना अतत्तवज्ञाश्च रागिणः । कामक्रोधभयद्वेषमदमात्सर्यसंयुताः

traiguṇā bhavasaṃpannā atattavajñāśca rāgiṇaḥ | kāmakrodhabhayadveṣamadamātsaryasaṃyutāḥ

مقيَّدونَ بالـغوناتِ الثلاث، لا يملكونَ إلا زادَ التكوُّنِ الدنيوي، لا يعرِفونَ الحقيقة؛ تغمرُهم الشهوةُ، وتمتلئُ نفوسُهم بالرغبةِ والغضبِ والخوفِ والبغضاءِ والكبرِ والحسدِ.
