alpena vā mahattvena pūjito vā sadāśivaḥ | kulakoṭiṃ samuddhṛtya śivena saha modate
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) to the Ṛṣis (deduced)
Tirtha: Kedāra
Type: kshetra
Scene: A poor pilgrim offers a single bilva leaf and water at Kedāra; behind, a luminous vision shows ancestors rising, while Sadāśiva’s presence radiates calm joy.
Sincerity in Śiva worship matters more than quantity; even modest worship yields vast spiritual benefit.
Kedārakhaṇḍa frames the teaching, but the verse speaks broadly about Sadāśiva worship rather than a named tirtha.
Śiva-pūjā is recommended, emphasizing that both simple and elaborate worship are efficacious.
