kleśena kṛtvā kūpaṃ vā sa ca kṣārodako vṛthā | bahukleśairjanma nītaṃ vinā dharmaṃ tathā vṛthā
«أو كمن حفر بئراً بمشقة عظيمة، فإذا ماؤه أجاجٌ مالحٌ ضاع ذلك الجهد. وكذلك الحياة التي تُقضى في شدائد كثيرة تضيع إن عِيشَت بلا دَرما.»
