tataḥ saṃbhrama saṃpannāstuṣṭuvuḥ praṇatāḥ surāḥ | namonamo mahādeva pāhipāhi jagatpate
Devāḥ (the gods), direct prayer
Scene: Devas, trembling yet relieved, fall at Śiva’s feet and chant repeated salutations; Śiva stands as Jagatpati, granting protection.
When fear and disorder arise, humble praise and sincere prayer to the Lord restore protection and balance.
No tīrtha is specified; the verse is a universal Śaiva supplication.
Repetitive devotional invocation (namo namo; pāhi pāhi) as a form of stuti and śaraṇāgati.
