अरे जडमते मा त्वं पुनर्ब्रूहीति याह्यतः । इत्युक्तोपि कुमार्या स नातिष्ठन्मदनातुरः
are jaḍamate mā tvaṃ punarbrūhīti yāhyataḥ | ityuktopi kumāryā sa nātiṣṭhanmadanāturaḥ
«يا بليدَ الفهم، لا تَعُدْ للكلام؛ اذهبْ من هنا!» ومع أنّ العذراء قالت له ذلك، لم ينصرف، إذ كان مُضطرِمًا بحُمّى الهوى.
