ekadā sa hi hemaṃte mārge māsi tapodhanaḥ | snātvā tatra mahātīrthe madhyāhne vimalodake

Translation

وذات مرة، في فصل الشتاء، في شهر مارغا (مارغاشيرشا)، اغتسل ذلك الزاهد الغنيّ بالتقشّف هناك في التيرثا العظيم عند الظهيرة، في مياه فيمالوداكا الطاهرة.
