न गर्तेषु ससत्वेषु न तिष्ठन्न व्रजन्नपि । गोविप्रसूर्यवाय्वग्नि चंद्रर्क्षांबु गुरूनपि
na garteṣu sasatveṣu na tiṣṭhanna vrajannapi | goviprasūryavāyvagni caṃdrarkṣāṃbu gurūnapi
لا ينبغي للمرء أن يقضي حاجته في الحُفَر التي فيها كائنات حيّة، لا قائمًا ولا حتى وهو يمشي. ولا يفعل ذلك وهو متوجّه نحو الأبقار أو البراهمة أو الشمس أو الريح أو النار أو القمر أو النجوم أو الماء أو نحو الشيوخ والمعلّمين.
