yo gaṃgāṃbhasi nisnāto bhaktyā saṃtyaktasaṃśayaḥ | manuṣyacarmaṇā naddhaḥ sa devo nātra saṃśayaḥ
مَن اغتسل في مياه الغانغا بتعبّدٍ وقد طرح الشكّ جانبًا—وإن كان مكسوًّا بجلدٍ بشري—فهو حقًّا إلهٌ؛ لا ريب في ذلك.
Skanda (deduced, Kāśīkhaṇḍa context)
Tirtha: Gaṅgā (Kāśī)
Type: ghat
Scene: A devotee emerges from Gaṅgā with folded hands; a subtle divine aura and celestial attributes (light, garland, radiance) appear while the body remains human—‘manuṣya-carmaṇā naddhaḥ’ yet deva-like.
Bhakti-filled Gaṅgā-snāna, free from doubt, elevates a person to divine status in spiritual worth.
Gaṅgā’s waters as the sanctifying tīrtha, especially revered in Kāśī.
Bathing in Gaṅgā with devotion and firm faith (absence of doubt).
