Bondage and Liberation: The Prakṛti–Karma Wheel and Śiva as the Transcendent Cause

शिवाग्निरिति संप्रोक्तस्तेन दग्धं शिवाग्निजम् । कपिलागोमयं पूर्वं केवलं गव्यमेव वा

śivāgniriti saṃproktastena dagdhaṃ śivāgnijam | kapilāgomayaṃ pūrvaṃ kevalaṃ gavyameva vā

تُعلَنُ تلك النارُ «نارَ شيفا»؛ وما يُحرَقُ بنارِ شيفا يصيرُ بَسْمَةً—رمادًا مقدّسًا مولودًا من نارِ شيفا. أوّلًا يُحرَقُ روثُ بقرةٍ كَبِيلَا (مائلةٍ إلى السُمرة)، أو يُكتفَى بروثِ البقرِ الخالص وحده.
