शक्तितत्त्ववर्णनम् / Exposition of the Principle of Śakti
परया च तया भक्त्या प्रसादो लभ्यते परः । प्रसादात्सर्वपाशेभ्यो मुक्तिर्मुक्तस्य निर्वृतिः
parayā ca tayā bhaktyā prasādo labhyate paraḥ | prasādātsarvapāśebhyo muktirmuktasya nirvṛtiḥ

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Frames mokṣa as arising from Śiva’s prasāda (grace): release from pāśas and attainment of nirvṛti; supports the Siddhānta emphasis that liberation is completed by divine anugraha rather than effort alone.
Role: liberating
It teaches the Shaiva Siddhanta principle that liberation is ultimately granted by Śiva’s prasāda (grace), which is drawn forth through parā-bhakti (supreme devotion), resulting in freedom from all pāśas (bondages) and culminating in nirvṛti—final peace.
Worship of the Śiva-liṅga as Saguna Śiva is a primary means of cultivating parā-bhakti; that devotion ripens into Śiva’s grace, which severs the bonds (pāśas) and leads the devotee toward the transcendent (para) realization indicated here.
The verse points to sustained bhakti-sādhana—especially japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with liṅga-pūjā—so that devotion matures into prasāda, the decisive cause of release from bondage.
