It teaches that actions become spiritually elevating when dedicated to Śiva and kept within kalyāṇa (auspicious dharma), especially when expressed as seva—supporting and honoring Śiva’s devotees.
Linga/Saguna worship is not limited to ritual alone; the verse extends worship into daily life—any karma done with Śiva in mind should be auspicious and completed by honoring bhaktas, which is treated as service to Śiva Himself.
A practical takeaway is to dedicate one’s worship and daily duties to Śiva (e.g., japa of the Pañcākṣarī, Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and, as part of the observance, offer tṛpti (tarpana/satisfaction) to devotees through food, charity, or respectful hospitality according to one’s capacity.
