It teaches that sacred worship must be grounded in purity and correct procedure: when the symbol of Pati (Śiva) is impaired, the devotee restores sanctity through purification and proper re-establishment, reaffirming steady bhakti and reverence.
The Liṅga is treated as the consecrated focus for Saguna worship; if it becomes damaged, the text prescribes cleansing and reinstallation so the devotee’s offerings remain properly directed to Śiva through a ritually fit support.
It indicates a padma-maṇḍala (lotus-diagram) placement/nyāsa and then completing the remaining rites “as before,” with a specific instruction to purify (viśodhana) and perform re-pratiṣṭhā (reinstallation) if the Liṅga is badly damaged.
