It teaches that inner devotion is supported by outer purity and careful preparation—clean materials and a sanctified place become a disciplined offering to Pati (Shiva), helping the bound soul (paśu) loosen the bonds (pāśa) through reverent worship.
Arranging a purified seat/bed and placing an auspicious offering reflects formal Saguna worship where the devotee honors Shiva’s presence through prescribed upacāras, treating the divine symbol (Liṅga) with royal and sacred hospitality.
A practical puja step is indicated: prepare a clean, sanctified resting place using washed cloth, flowers, or darbha, then offer a special flower (hemapuṣpa) with focused mind—ideally alongside japa such as the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
