It is a Devi-stuti that affirms Ambikā as the all-pervading cosmic Mother whose limitless aiśvarya (sovereignty) supports the soul’s path to grace; in Shaiva Siddhanta, such praise honors Shakti as inseparable from Shiva’s saving power.
Linga worship in the Shiva Purana is often paired with reverence to Shiva’s Shakti; praising Ambikā complements Saguna worship by acknowledging the manifest, compassionate power through which Shiva’s grace becomes accessible to devotees.
Use the verse as a short stotra before or after Shiva-Linga pūjā, alongside japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), offering flowers and (where customary) bhasma/tripuṇḍra as a reminder of surrender to Shiva-Shakti.
