FAQs

It situates worldly order within a sacred hierarchy: the Prajāpatis, though powerful progenitors, are created beings under cosmic law (Dharma) and intention (Saṅkalpa). In Shaiva Siddhanta, this highlights that all governance of creation ultimately functions under Pati—Lord Shiva—who transcends and directs the manifested order.

By showing that even Brahmā’s sons (like Dakṣa) operate within created structures, the text implicitly points the devotee beyond secondary authorities to the supreme refuge—Shiva. Linga worship centers on that supreme Pati, the source and support of all cosmic functions that Prajāpatis administer.

A practical takeaway is to align one’s personal saṅkalpa (resolve) with dharma through Shiva-upāsanā—daily japa of the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and offering water to the Linga—so the will becomes purified and directed toward liberation rather than mere worldly creation.
