शिवसंस्कार-दीक्षानिरूपणम् (Śivasaṃskāra and the Typology of Dīkṣā)
सा भक्ताय प्रदातव्या नापराय विरोधिने । दत्ता चेत्प्रतिकूलाय प्रमादाद्बोधयेत्पतिम्
sā bhaktāya pradātavyā nāparāya virodhine | dattā cetpratikūlāya pramādādbodhayetpatim
لا تُعطى إلا لعبّادٍ مُخلصٍ، لا لغيره ممن يعادي ويخالف. فإن أُعطيت، عن غفلةٍ، لمن هو مُضادّ، وجب أن يُخبَر الربّ «پَتي» (شِيفا) على الفور.

Significance: Emphasizes safeguarding Śiva-dharma/teachings for the receptive bhakta; misplacement is corrected by turning to Pati (Śiva) for guidance—anugraha through confession and rectification.

The verse teaches adhikāra (spiritual eligibility): Shaiva practices and inner teachings are to be entrusted to sincere bhaktas, because hostility and misuse strengthen pāśa (bondage) rather than devotion to Pati (Śiva).
Linga/Saguna-Śiva worship relies on śraddhā and reverence; sharing vows, mantras, or sacred observances with antagonistic persons can invite disrespect toward the Linga. The verse emphasizes protecting the sanctity of Śiva-upāsanā and restoring order by reporting to Pati (Śiva).
It implies disciplined mantra-dīkṣā and guarded transmission of practices (e.g., Panchākṣarī japa, Tripuṇḍra/bhasma observance, Rudrākṣa discipline) only to the devoted; if a lapse occurs, one should confess and seek Śiva’s guidance through prayer and corrective observance.
