The verse presents the Divine Mother as compassion (saumyā) and refuge: the lotus signifies purity amid the world, while boon-giving and fearlessness indicate her grace that removes bondage (pāśa) and steadies the soul (paśu) toward Shiva, the Supreme (Pati).
It supports Saguna upāsanā: devotees contemplate Shiva together with Shakti—her abhaya and varada mudrās express the accessible, grace-bestowing dimension through which the devotee approaches the Linga with trust, surrender, and devotion.
Meditate on Parvati’s form with lotus hands and the abhaya-varada gestures while repeating the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), seeking inner fearlessness and the boon of steadfast bhakti; optionally accompany with Tripuṇḍra and Rudrākṣa as Shaiva marks of remembrance.
