Role: liberating
It describes classic bodily and emotional transformations that can arise when Shiva’s grace awakens devotion—signs of inner purification where the bound soul (paśu) becomes intensely oriented to Pati (Shiva), tasting sudden bliss beyond ordinary causes.
In Linga/Saguna Shiva worship, concentrated reverence, mantra-japa, and darśana can culminate in heartfelt bhakti; these spontaneous symptoms indicate that worship is becoming inwardly absorbed, with the devotee’s mind turning from external ritual to direct Shiva-remembrance.
Steady Panchakshara japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with mindful Linga-pūjā (water/abhisheka, bhasma/tripuṇḍra, rudrāksha if undertaken) and meditation on Shiva in the heart—without forcing experiences—allowing devotion and grace to unfold naturally.
