षडध्ववेदनम् (Ṣaḍadhva-vedanam) — The Sixfold Path: Sound, Meaning, and Tattva-Distribution
तत्रैव सर्वमेवेदं द्रष्टव्यं खलु साधकैः । अध्वव्याप्तिमविज्ञाय शुद्धिं यः कर्तुमिच्छति
tatraiva sarvamevedaṃ draṣṭavyaṃ khalu sādhakaiḥ | adhvavyāptimavijñāya śuddhiṃ yaḥ kartumicchati

Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
Cosmic Event: Adhvan doctrine foregrounded: without knowing the pervasion/extent of the ordered paths (tattva, pada, varṇa, mantra/kalā in āgamic usage), purification is methodologically impossible.
It teaches that purification (śuddhi) is not merely external ritual; it must be grounded in right understanding of how reality is structured and pervaded—so the seeker’s practice aligns with Shiva (Pati) who transcends yet permeates all paths.
Linga-worship is effective when performed with knowledge of Shiva’s all-pervading presence: the devotee recognizes that the Saguna form is a sacred support for realizing the deeper pervasion of Shiva through all levels of experience, not a mere outward act.
It implies combining outer śuddhi (such as bhasma/tripundra and mantra-japa) with inner contemplation on the ordered spiritual path (adhva)—so japa and worship are guided by tattva-jñāna rather than done mechanically.
