सत्याः पुनस्तपश्चर्या — Satī’s Return to Austerity (Tapas) and Fearless Liṅga-Worship
तस्या एव कृपा योगात्सद्योनष्टमलत्रयः । बभूव सहसा व्याघ्रो देवीं च बुबुधे तदा
tasyā eva kṛpā yogātsadyonaṣṭamalatrayaḥ | babhūva sahasā vyāghro devīṃ ca bubudhe tadā
وبقوة نعمتها عينها زالت الشوائب الثلاث في الحال؛ وصار ذلك النمر طاهراً في لحظة، ثم أدرك الإلهة بوصفها الأمّ الإلهية.

Role: liberating
The verse highlights that liberation begins with divine grace: when the Goddess bestows compassion, the soul’s bondage is cut and the inner obscurations (mala-traya) fall away, enabling true recognition of the Divine.
In Shaiva tradition, worship of Saguna Shiva (often through the Linga with devotion) is a channel for receiving anugraha (grace). This verse illustrates the fruit of such grace—purification and right recognition of the Divine presence.
The practical takeaway is surrender and devotional remembrance: regular japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with reverence to Shiva-Shakti, supported by simple purity disciplines like bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) and mindful prayer for anugraha.
