Tattva Level: pati
It establishes the Shiva Purana’s authoritative transmission through Vyāsa and frames it as a complete, structured revelation—guiding the seeker toward Pati (Śiva) through an organized śāstric path.
By identifying the Shiva Purana as a distinct, systematic text, it points the devotee to a dedicated Shaiva source where Saguna worship—especially of Śiva as Liṅga—along with higher philosophical understanding, is taught in an ordered way.
The verse is classificatory rather than prescriptive; its practical takeaway is to study and recite the Shiva Purana (svādhyāya/śravaṇa) as a discipline supporting devotion to Śiva and steadiness in mantra and worship taught elsewhere in the text.
