Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Significance: Establishing and worshipping the liṅga with purity and steadiness is presented as a high-merit act leading toward Śiva’s grace and liberation-oriented merit (śivapuṇya).
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
It teaches that outer sacred acts—like installing and worshiping the Śiva-liṅga—bear their highest fruit when joined with inner purity and unwavering one-pointed devotion, aligning the soul (paśu) toward the Lord (Pati) through bhakti.
The liṅga is the primary saguna focus for approaching Śiva; the verse emphasizes that liṅga-sthāpana, ārādhana, and offerings become truly efficacious when performed with surrendered mind and steady contemplation, leading the devotee from form-based worship toward deeper realization.
Perform liṅga-pūjā with clean conduct and environment, make simple offerings with full attention, and maintain niścala-citta (steady mind)—optionally supported by japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” during worship.
