Tripuramohana — “The Delusion/Enchanting of Tripura”
ब्रह्मादिसृष्टिरेषेति प्रोच्यते वृद्धपूरुषैः । तस्य जातौ सुतौ दक्षमरीची चेति विश्रुतौ
brahmādisṛṣṭireṣeti procyate vṛddhapūruṣaiḥ | tasya jātau sutau dakṣamarīcī ceti viśrutau
يُقال لهذا «الخَلْقُ الذي يبدأ ببراهما»، كما صرّح الحكماء الأقدمون. ومنه وُلِد ابنان مشهوران بالاسم: دكشا (Dakṣa) ومريچي (Marīci).

Cosmic Event: secondary creation (brahmādisṛṣṭi) genealogy framing
It situates worldly creation (sṛṣṭi) within an ordered cosmic lineage, reminding the seeker that all manifested beings arise in sequence and are ultimately subordinate to the highest reality—Śiva as Pati—beyond mere genealogical origins.
By naming Brahmā and subsequent progenitors, the text distinguishes created agencies from the Supreme; Linga-worship centers the devotee on Śiva as the transcendent source and inner ruler of all creators and creatures, not merely one figure within creation.
Use the teaching as a contemplation (dhyāna) on impermanence of created hierarchy and anchor the mind in Śiva through japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—as the steady refuge beyond sṛṣṭi and lineage.
