त्रिपुरदीक्षाविधानम् — Tripura Dīkṣā: Prescriptive Procedure
Chapter on the Ordinance of Initiation
ते सर्वे च तदा देवं भगवंतं मुदान्विताः । नमस्कृत्य पुनस्तत्र मुने तस्थुस्तदग्रतः
te sarve ca tadā devaṃ bhagavaṃtaṃ mudānvitāḥ | namaskṛtya punastatra mune tasthustadagrataḥ
حينئذٍ انحنى الجميع، وهم مفعمون بالسرور، مرةً أخرى أمام الربّ الإلهي. وبعد أن قدّموا تحياتهم الخاشعة، لبثوا هناك قائمين بين يدي الموني.
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
It emphasizes bhakti expressed as joyful reverence—offering namaskāra to Bhagavān and standing attentively—showing that humility and receptivity are essential for receiving Shiva’s grace and guidance.
The verse models Saguna-upāsanā: devotees approach the Lord with visible acts of devotion (bowing, standing before the revered presence). This attitude is the same one brought to Linga worship—respectful surrender and steady attention.
Practice namaskāra with a composed mind before Shiva (or the Linga), then remain still in attentive presence—silently repeating the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” as an inner offering.
