(Devastuti) — Hymn/Praise of the Devas
lābhānāṃ putralābho'si vāyurvegavatāmasi | nityakarmasu sarveṣu saṃdhyopāstirbhavānmatā
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the Purāṇic dialogue to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya within the Rudrasaṃhitā context)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: teaching
It ranks spiritual values by declaring the highest “gain” and the most purifying daily practice: Sandhyā worship. In Shaiva understanding, such disciplined nitya-karma steadies the mind and prepares it for Śiva-bhakti and liberation.
Sandhyopāsanā is a daily framework of purity, mantra, and inner recollection that supports steady Saguna worship—such as Linga-pūjā—by cultivating regularity (niyama), devotion, and fitness for Śiva’s anugraha (grace).
Regular Sandhyā worship (twilight prayer) as a nitya-karma—performed with mantra-japa and contemplative recollection. It indirectly supports Shaiva sādhanā like japa of Śiva-nāma (e.g., Pañcākṣarī) and daily worship disciplines.
