It teaches that Shiva is approached through both right dharmic conduct rooted in śruti (Vedic order) and heartfelt stuti (devotional praise), revealing Him as the immanent Lord who pervades all categories of embodied life.
While the Linga points to Shiva’s transcendent reality, this verse emphasizes Saguna Shiva—His gracious presence within manifest creation—so worship combines reverence for the formless principle with devotion to the Lord who appears in countless forms.
Maintain śruti-aligned conduct (purity, truthfulness, restraint) and regularly perform stuti—reciting Shiva stotras or the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—as a disciplined devotional practice.
