rudrarūpeṇa pralayaṃ kariṣye kāryamuttamam | caturvarṇamayaṃ lokaṃ tatsarvairāśramai dhruvam
Lord Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Cosmic Event: pralaya (dissolution) and dharma-vyavasthā (ordering of varṇa-āśrama)
It presents Rudra as the divine power of dissolution that restores cosmic balance, and it frames social-spiritual order (varṇa–āśrama dharma) as an ordained structure meant to support right living and gradual purification toward liberation under Shiva’s supreme governance.
Rudra here is Saguna Shiva—the manifest Lord who performs cosmic functions like pralaya. Linga worship honors Shiva as both Nirguna (transcendent) and Saguna (active as Rudra), reminding devotees that dissolution is also grace that removes impurity and resets dharma.
A practical takeaway is disciplined dharma aligned to one’s āśrama along with Shiva-upāsanā—daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and reverent remembrance of Rudra as the purifier who dissolves inner bondage (pāśa).
