The verse highlights how auspicious timing (śubha-kṣaṇa) and divine radiance accompany dharmic choice; outer splendor mirrors inner merit, reminding devotees that grace manifests visibly when actions align with dharma under the Lord’s cosmic order.
Though the verse describes a svayaṃvara, it reflects Saguna Shiva’s governance of worldly rites and auspiciousness—social sacraments proceed under divine ordinance; such narratives encourage devotees to sanctify life-events with Shiva-centered devotion.
The practical takeaway is to begin major vows or life-rites in an auspicious, purified state—invoking Shiva with the Panchakshara mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and maintaining śauca (purity) and steadiness of mind before making consequential choices.
