Description of the Sages’ Questions
sadyaḥ prasanno bhagavānbhavatītyanuśaśruma | bhaktaprayāsaṃ sa mahānna paśyati dayāparaḥ
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It teaches that Śiva, the supreme Pati, responds swiftly to sincere bhakti; His grace is compassion-driven and not dependent on the devotee’s capacity to endure austerities.
In Saguna worship—especially Liṅga-pūjā—Śiva is approached as the merciful Lord who accepts simple offerings and heartfelt devotion, granting prasāda quickly rather than weighing personal hardship.
Emphasize steady bhakti practices such as daily Liṅga-abhiṣeka and japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” trusting Śiva’s compassion rather than overstraining in austerity.
