namaste bhagavan rudra bhāskarāmitatejase | namo bhavāya devāya rasāyāṃbumayāya te
Satī (offering praise to Lord Śiva/Rudra in the Satīkhaṇḍa narrative)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Significance: Identifies Śiva as solar-like tejas and as the watery/rasa essence sustaining life—useful for pilgrims to contemplate Śiva as both transcendent radiance and immanent support of the world.
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
It praises Rudra as the Supreme Pati whose light is limitless like the sun and whose presence pervades life as rasa (vital essence) and water—pointing to Śiva as both transcendent radiance and immanent sustainer.
By addressing Śiva as Bhava and Rudra with perceivable attributes (radiance, pervasion as water), the verse supports Saguna worship—especially linga-pūjā through water offerings and contemplation of Śiva’s all-pervading power.
Jala-abhisheka (offering water to the Śiva-liṅga) while meditating on Rudra’s solar-like tejas and repeating a Śaiva mantra such as the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as an inner act of surrender.
