(Kāmaśāpānugraha) — “The Curse and Grace Concerning Kāma”
ahaṃ viṣṇustathā śaṃbhuḥ sarve tvaccha ragocarāḥ | iti yadbhavatā proktaṃ tanmayāpi parīkṣitam
Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It affirms the transcendence of the Supreme Reality: even Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Śiva (as cosmic functions) operate within a higher, stainless divine radiance—pointing to Pati (the Supreme Lord) as beyond limited comprehension and the ultimate refuge for moksha.
The verse evokes the idea of the Supreme as pure light (jyoti), which the Śiva-liṅga represents in worship—Saguna devotion becomes a doorway to realize the Nirguna, stainless effulgence that even the gods cannot fully circumscribe.
Meditate on Śiva as pure, stainless light within the liṅga while repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), cultivating humility that even the greatest powers are limited before the Supreme.
