وبمحبةٍ وضع شيفا حبيبته على حجره؛ وهي، وقد أُكرمت بتعظيمٍ عظيم، ابتَهجت بكلماته المفعمة بالمودة.

Role: nurturing
It highlights Shiva as Pati (the gracious Lord) who uplifts the soul through love and honour; divine affection (prīti) becomes a spiritual force that nourishes devotion and steadies the heart toward liberation.
Though Linga worship often points to the formless Absolute, this verse emphasizes Saguna Shiva—His tender, personal grace—showing that bhakti to the personal Lord naturally matures into reverence for the supreme reality the Linga signifies.
Practice prīti-bhakti: daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with respectful speech and a heart of honour (bahumāna), visualizing Shiva’s compassionate presence that consoles and elevates the devotee.
