शिवसतीविवाहोत्तरलीला — Post‑marital Līlā of Śiva and Satī
तया विना स्म नो याति नास्थितो न स्म चेष्टते । तया विना क्षममपि शर्म लेभे न शंकरः
tayā vinā sma no yāti nāsthito na sma ceṣṭate | tayā vinā kṣamamapi śarma lebhe na śaṃkaraḥ
من دونها لم يستطع أن يمضي قُدُماً؛ فلا ثبتَ قائماً ولا باشرَ عملاً. ومن دونها لم ينل حتى شانكرا القادر سكينةً ولا عافيةً وخيراً.

The verse highlights Shiva–Shakti unity: even Śaṅkara’s outward activity and inner ease are expressed as dependent on Shakti’s presence, teaching that auspiciousness (śarma) and effective action arise when consciousness (Shiva) is united with divine power (Shakti).
In Linga worship, Shiva is honored together with Shakti (often through the yoni-pīṭha and offerings). This verse supports Saguna devotion by showing Shiva’s manifest līlā and grace are celebrated through the relational Shiva–Shakti principle central to Purāṇic worship.
A practical takeaway is to worship Shiva with remembrance of Shakti—japa of the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with bhāva of Shiva–Shakti unity, and steady dhyāna to regain inner śarma (peace) when the mind becomes inert or restless.
