Hymn to Devī Yogānidrā and the Manifestation of Caṇḍikā
pratyakṣamapi jātāyāṃ siddhiḥ kāryasya niścitā | tasmāttvaṃ vāṃchitaṃ brūhi yā kariṣyāmi bhāvitā
Satī (addressing Lord Śiva)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
The verse highlights niścaya (spiritual certainty) and bhāvanā (firm inner intention): when devotion and purpose are clear, the fruit of the action becomes assured. In a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, steadfast intent aligned to Śiva is a purifier that supports right action and spiritual maturation.
It reflects the devotee’s attitude of clear request and decisive offering of effort—an essential bhakti posture in Saguna Śiva worship (including Liṅga-pūjā). One approaches Śiva with a definite sankalpa and then follows through with disciplined worship and service.
Form a sankalpa before worship, then perform steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with focused bhāvanā. The verse supports consistency and commitment as the practical discipline behind spiritual “siddhi.”
