The verse frames dharmic service performed with prīti (loving intention) as a sādhana: when duty is infused with devotion, it becomes spiritually fruitful and capable of granting both worldly well-being and inner harmony aligned with Śiva’s order.
In the Saguna (personal) Śaiva view, devotion is not limited to temple rites; it is expressed as disciplined conduct and loving service. Such prīti-centered action becomes an offering in spirit—complementing Linga worship by making daily life itself an act of reverence.
The implied practice is nitya-sevā done with prīti: daily conduct as worship. A simple Śaiva takeaway is to combine household duties with mental japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and a devotional intention, treating actions as offerings to Śiva.
