Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It teaches that for a pativratā, devotion to one’s rightful husband becomes a sacred discipline in which the husband is revered as a manifestation of Śiva—the supreme Pati—thus sanctifying worldly duty as a path of bhakti and inner purity.
It frames Saguna-Śiva worship as present within daily life: honoring Śiva through reverence, service, and devotion performed with the same attitude as worship before the Liṅga—seeing the Lord’s presence in one’s ordained relationship and duties.
Practice bhāva (devotional contemplation): mentally offer daily actions as pūjā to Śiva, repeat the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and maintain purity and steadiness of conduct as the core observance.
