It highlights that devotion is expressed through śuddha (pure) and māṅgalya (auspicious) offerings—external acts that support inner bhakti and reverence toward Śiva-Śakti, aligning the household and mind toward dharma and grace.
These items commonly accompany saguna-upāsanā (devotional worship with form), where Śiva is honored along with Śakti; such offerings complement Linga worship by emphasizing reverence, purity, and auspiciousness in ritual context.
A practical takeaway is to perform orderly pūjā with clean, auspicious materials (e.g., turmeric, kuṅkuma, dīpa with cotton wick, tāmbūla), while maintaining mantra-bhāvanā—such as japa of the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” during the offering.
