कामं सम्भाष्य देवाश्च ददुस्तस्मै शुभाशिषम् । विष्ण्वादयः प्रसन्नास्ते प्रोचुः स्मृत्वा शिवं हृदि
kāmaṃ sambhāṣya devāśca dadustasmai śubhāśiṣam | viṣṇvādayaḥ prasannāste procuḥ smṛtvā śivaṃ hṛdi
وبعد أن تحدّثت الآلهةُ مع كاما، منحوه بركاتٍ مباركة. وكان فيشنو وسائرهم مسرورين؛ إذ استحضروا شيفا في قلوبهم، ثم خاطبوه.

It highlights hṛdi-smaraṇa—remembering Śiva within the heart—as the inner foundation for right action and right speech. Even the Devas first turn inward to Śiva, indicating that auspicious outcomes arise when conduct is aligned with Śiva’s grace (anugraha).
While Liṅga worship is an outer support, this verse emphasizes the complementary inner worship: recollection and contemplation of Śiva in the heart. In Shaiva practice, Saguna devotion (form, mantra, pūjā) ripens into inward steadiness where Śiva is remembered before all deeds.
A simple takeaway is to begin speech and undertakings with Śiva-smaraṇa: mentally repeat the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and hold Śiva in the heart for a few breaths, then proceed—making one’s words and intentions auspicious.
