It praises Parvati (Shakti) as the ever-present Divine Mother who removes devotees’ sorrow and shines within all beings as buddhi—right discernment that supports dharma and leads toward liberation under Shiva’s grace.
In Shaiva tradition, Linga-worship honors Shiva as Pati, while Parvati is His inseparable Shakti; this verse highlights that the devotee’s inner clarity (buddhi) and relief from sorrow arise through Her presence, making Saguna worship fruitful and steady.
A practical takeaway is bhakti with inner recollection: meditate on the Devi as “buddhirūpiṇī” while repeating a Shiva mantra (especially the Panchakshara, Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to cultivate discernment and dissolve grief.
