Menā’s Vision of Śiva’s Divine Form
ityādi vividhaṃ kāryaṃ hitvā vāsaṃ striyo yayuḥ | dṛṣṭvā tu śāṃkaraṃ rūpaṃ mohaṃ prāptāstadā'bhavan

It highlights the mind’s tendency to fall into moha when confronted with overwhelming beauty and divine potency; Shaiva teaching redirects that fascination into purified bhakti, where attraction becomes devotion rather than bondage.
The verse emphasizes Śiva’s saguna manifestation (śāṃkara-rūpa). In Shaiva practice, the Linga stabilizes the same devotion in a focused, non-distracting form, guiding the devotee from sensory captivation toward inward worship and grace.
A key takeaway is to steady the mind with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and disciplined worship (arcana/dhyāna), so that fascination (moha) is transformed into single-pointed remembrance of Śiva.
