देवसान्त्वनम् (Devasāntvana) — “Consolation/Reassurance of the Gods”
त्रिदेवजननी चण्डी शिवा सर्वार्तिनाशिनी । सर्वमाता महानिद्रा सर्वस्वजनतारिणी
tridevajananī caṇḍī śivā sarvārtināśinī | sarvamātā mahānidrā sarvasvajanatāriṇī
هي تشاندي (Caṇḍī)، أمُّ الثالوث الإلهي؛ وهي شيفا (Śivā)، مُبدِّدةُ كلِّ كرب. هي أمُّ الجميع، وهي «ماهانيدرا» (Mahānidrā)؛ السُّباتُ الكونيُّ العظيم، وهي المُخلِّصة التي تُعَبِّر بجميع الكائنات—وهم أبناؤها—من قيود الدنيا إلى شاطئ الخلاص.

The verse praises the Divine Mother (Pārvatī/Śivā) as the universal cause and compassionate power who removes all distress and carries bound souls beyond saṃsāra—echoing Shaiva Siddhanta’s emphasis on liberation through divine grace (śakti/anugraha).
In Saguna worship, Śiva is adored together with Śivā (his inseparable power). Linga-pūjā becomes complete when the devotee understands Śiva-Śakti non-separation: the Linga signifies Śiva, and the Mother is the liberating grace that makes the worship fruitful by destroying afflictions.
A practical takeaway is daily Śiva-Śakti bhakti with the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offering bilva leaves and applying tripuṇḍra (bhasma) while meditating on the Mother as Sarvārti-nāśinī—remover of all inner and outer suffering.
