Reception of the Auspicious Marriage Invitation
atha śambhurgṛhītvā tāṃ mudā maṃgalapatrikām | vijahāsa prahṛṣṭātmā mānanteṣāṃ vyadhādvibhuḥ

It shows Śiva as the compassionate Pati who responds to devotion: when approached with auspicious intent and reverence, He becomes pleased and grants honor—indicating that grace (anugraha) follows sincere bhakti and proper regard for the Divine.
Though Śiva is ultimately beyond form, here He is approached in His personal (saguṇa) aspect—receiving a message and responding with visible delight—affirming that devotional worship of the manifest Lord (including Liṅga worship) is a valid means to receive His favor and upliftment.
The takeaway is reverent offering and humble approach: receive and present auspicious offerings (patra, puṣpa, naivedya) with devotion, and accompany it with japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” cultivating inner joy and respect.
