Devas’ Hymn, Nandikeśvara’s Petition, and Śiva’s Rising from Samādhi
yadā yadā vipattirhi bhaktānāṃ bhavati kvacit | tadā tadā haramyāśu tatkṣaṇātsarvaśassadā
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It teaches Shiva’s anugraha (grace): for the surrendered bhakta, Shiva actively removes adversity, showing that devotion draws the Lord’s immediate, compassionate intervention.
The verse highlights Saguna Shiva’s accessible, personal guardianship—worship of the Shiva-linga with faith is portrayed as a direct relationship in which the Lord responds to the devotee’s suffering.
In distress, take refuge in Shiva through steady japa of the Panchākṣarī mantra ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and simple linga-upāsanā, cultivating unwavering bhakti and surrender.
