तारकवाक्य-शक्रविष्णुवीरभद्रयुद्धवर्णनम् — Account of Tāraka’s declarations and the battle involving Śakra (Indra), Viṣṇu, and Vīrabhadra
नान्यो हंतास्य पापस्य त्वां विना पार्वतीसुत । तस्मात्त्वया हि कर्तव्यं वचनं मे महाप्रभो
nānyo haṃtāsya pāpasya tvāṃ vinā pārvatīsuta | tasmāttvayā hi kartavyaṃ vacanaṃ me mahāprabho
يا ابن بارفتي، لا قاتلَ لهذا الإثم سواك. لذلك، أيّها الربّ العظيم، عليك أن تُنجز قولي وتنفّذ أمري.
Lord Shiva

Role: liberating
The verse emphasizes that the destruction of pāpa (bondage-creating sin) ultimately depends on divinely empowered agency under Shiva’s will—pointing to Shaiva Siddhanta’s view that grace (anugraha) and right action aligned to the Lord remove impurities.
It reflects Saguna Shiva as the commanding, compassionate Lord who directs the cosmic order and assigns remedial action for adharma; devotion to Shiva (including Linga worship) is framed as aligning oneself with His command and grace for pāpa-kṣaya.
The practical takeaway is obedience to dharma supported by Shiva-bhakti—such as daily japa of the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa—offered with the intent of purification and removal of pāpa.
