Agni (Vahni)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
It highlights that distress is calmed through śaraṇāgati (humble surrender) and stuti (praise) to Pati—Lord Śiva—whose auspicious grace steadies the inner self.
The verse models Saguna-bhakti: bowing with añjali and praising Śiva in a personal, approachable form. Such reverent devotion is the same spirit used in Liṅga-pūjā—approaching Śiva as the living refuge who responds with grace.
Practice añjali-prāṇāma and Śiva-stuti before japa; recite “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with a bowed, surrendered mind to cultivate inner calm and receptivity to Śiva’s grace.
