gītavādyaissuprasannaistathā sāñjalibhirmune | stūyamāno jagannāthassarvairdaivairgaṇairabhūta
Sūta Gosvāmī
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Portrays stuti with añjali and joyous music as a direct bhakti-upāya: the paśu approaches Pati through praise, inviting anugraha (grace) that loosens pāśa (bondage).
Type: stotra
Offering: dhupa
It highlights bhakti as a direct, purifying approach to Pati (Śiva): the devas themselves model joyful praise (stuti) and humble surrender (añjali), showing that reverent devotion is honored even above status or power.
The verse portrays Saguna-upāsanā—worship of Śiva as Jagannātha through audible praise, music, and visible gestures of reverence. In Linga worship, these same acts appear as stotra, nāma-japa, and upacāras offered to the Linga as Śiva’s gracious, accessible form.
Perform Śiva-stuti with kīrtana (devotional singing) and vādyas (instruments) while maintaining añjali-bhāva (folded-hands humility); as a meditative takeaway, combine it with steady japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to keep the mind absorbed in Śiva.
