अत्रीश्वरमाहात्म्यवर्णनम् (Atrīśvara-māhātmya-varṇanam) — “Account of the Greatness of Atrīśvara”
असाध्यं योगिभिर्यच्च देवैरपि सदा शुभे । तच्चैवाद्य कथं जातं विस्मयः परमो मम
asādhyaṃ yogibhiryacca devairapi sadā śubhe | taccaivādya kathaṃ jātaṃ vismayaḥ paramo mama
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pashu
Significance: Emphasizes that certain sacred attainments are beyond yogic and even deva-capacity; their occurrence signals Śiva’s special grace overriding ordinary hierarchies of power.
The verse highlights that the highest reality and fulfillment are not conquered by mere power or austerity; they arise through Shiva’s grace, which can make the “unattainable” attainable, awakening profound wonder in the devotee.
In the Kotirudra context, Shiva is approached in accessible, worshipful form—especially through Linga/Jyotirlinga devotion—so that what is beyond gods and yogins in abstraction becomes reachable through Saguna worship, surrender, and right conduct.
The practical takeaway is humble devotion with mantra-japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), supported by Shaiva observances like bhasma (Tripundra) and Rudraksha, emphasizing grace over spiritual pride.
