It teaches that devotion to Shiva should be joined with disciplined observance: worship done with vidhi (right method) and inner contentment culminates in homa, symbolizing the offering of one’s actions and ego into sacred fire for purification and grace.
The instruction is a liturgical sequence typically applied to Saguna Shiva worship—especially Linga-pūjā—where repeated morning worship is followed by homa, reinforcing steady daily reverence to the manifest form while aiming at inner purification.
Perform morning Shiva-pūjā according to injunctions, repeat the worship, and then do homa as prescribed—ideally alongside mantra-japa (such as the Panchakshara) with a composed, content mind.
