Andhakeśvara-liṅga Māhātmya and Śiva’s Subjugation of Andhaka (अन्धकेश्वरलिङ्गमाहात्म्य तथा अन्धकवध-प्रसङ्ग)
तत्रत्यश्च तदा शंभुं ध्यात्वा संप्रार्थयत्तदा । अन्तकाले च त्वां दृष्ट्वा तादृशो भवति क्षणात्
tatratyaśca tadā śaṃbhuṃ dhyātvā saṃprārthayattadā | antakāle ca tvāṃ dṛṣṭvā tādṛśo bhavati kṣaṇāt
حينئذٍ تأمّل رجلُ ذلك الموضع في شَمبهو (Śambhu) وتضرّع بدعاءٍ صادق. وفي لحظة النهاية، إذ يراك، يصير مثلك في طرفة عين.

It teaches that sincere dhyāna (meditation) and prayer to Śambhu ripen into saving grace; at the final moment, Śiva’s darśana can bestow immediate spiritual transformation toward Śiva-sāyujya (union/likeness with Śiva), expressing the Lord’s compassion to the devotee.
In the Koṭirudrasaṁhitā context of Jyotirliṅga glory, the verse supports Saguna worship: meditating on Śiva with form (as Liṅga/Jyotirliṅga) and praying with devotion culminates in darśana, through which the devotee becomes ‘tādṛśa’—sharing in Śiva’s auspicious nature by His grace.
Practice Śiva-dhyāna with heartfelt prayer—especially remembrance of Śiva at life’s end; as a practical takeaway, daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with Liṅga-darśana and inner contemplation is implied as the steady preparation for that final, saving vision.
