Ekādaśāhna-vidhiḥ (The Rite Prescribed for the Eleventh Day): Maṇḍala-racanā, Āvāhana, Mudrā, and Ativāhika-devatā Pūjā
तत उद्वासयेत्प्रीत्या पूर्वतो मुनिसत्तम । स्थलं विशोध्य गंडूषाचमनार्घ्याणि दापयेत्
tata udvāsayetprītyā pūrvato munisattama | sthalaṃ viśodhya gaṃḍūṣācamanārghyāṇi dāpayet
ثم، يا خيرَ الحكماء، ليقم بمحبةٍ بطقس الأُدڤاسَنة (التوديع باحترام) وهو متجهٌ نحو الشرق؛ وبعد تطهير الموضع، فليُقدِّم ماء المضمضة، وماء الآچَمَنِيَّة للشرب الطقسي، وماء الأَرْغْيَا قربانَ التكريم.

It teaches that devotion (prīti) must be joined with ritual purity and reverent closure—honoring Shiva’s presence and concluding worship in an orderly, sattvic manner, which supports inner purification and steadiness of mind.
In Saguna (form-based) Linga worship, Shiva is approached as the gracious Lord who accepts upacāras (offerings). Udvāsana, cleansing the spot, and offering arghya/ācamanīya are classical acts of honoring the Deity and completing the pūjā without negligence.
Perform the concluding rite (udvāsana) facing east, keep the worship area purified, and offer gandūṣa, ācamanīya, and arghya; inwardly, conclude with gratitude and remembrance of Shiva (often with the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”).
